Like Final Fantasy 15Nioh has been ten years in the making- ten years is a very long time, and it would be hard to fault those who still don’t believe that the game is actually coming for real this time. However, Tecmo Koei will be looking to hopefully dispel some of those doubts when they launch the alpha demo for the game on the PlayStation 4 later this month, on April 26. It will be available to download until May 5.

Players who complete the demo will also be able to redeem some sweet DLC for free in the final game, with The Mark of the Conqueror being made available to them for free. They will also be able to provide direct feedback to the developers on what they think does and does not work, so they can implement suggestions into the final game.

Team Ninja confirmed that the final game will be launching later this year worldwide, though they did decline to give a final, concrete release date just yet.
