NIS America, the beloved localizer and publisher of cult hit Japanese games (including NIS Japan’s own Disgaea series) has announced a press event for February 9. The event will be held in San Francisco, California, and will be livestreamed, so you can catch it live for yourself at home and see what announcements NISA may have that it wishes to make.

As for what they might be? Assuming that Falcom doesn’t want to rescind its relationship with NSIA over the handling of Ys 8‘s localization, then I suppose Trails of Cold Steel 3 could be one of the games we end up seeing. Simultaneously, it is also important to remember that NISA has pledged full support for the Nintendo Switch going forward- so we could be seeing some Switch localizations of existing games, too.

Whatever it is, it should be great. Japanese games have not been as prominent in a decade as they are right now, and watching NISA bring more of them over to the west will be much appreciated.
