No Man's Sky - Xeno Arena

No Man’s Sky continues to be the gift that keeps on giving, as its latest update adds a very interesting new bunch of systems to engage with.

Coming hot on the heels of the Gravity Gun and other cool additions in the Remnant update from February is Xeno Arena. It adds a new arena where creatures collected from all around the game’s sprawling universe are pitted against each other in turn-based battles. Do well enough, and you get to genetically alter them to become even stronger. There’s a wide range of creatures, with varying abilities and personalities, all of which are there for the taking.

But what if some of them prove to be too adorable for you to risk their safety? Worry not, as the option for holo-battles is always there to take advantage of while your companion remains safe from harm. The update has a very long list of additions, and you’re probably going to want to see what Hello Games has to say about it over on their official site.

But if you’d prefer a more bite-sized look at what’s new, the trailer below should give you an idea of what to expect before jumping in.
