No Man's Sky Beyond

No Man’s Sky is a case study of just how much a game can change in a relatively short time. The game released originally to disappointing reception for its lack of content, as well as how much it missed the mark in promises that Hello Games made pre-release. Since then, the game has been updated to something much closer to that original promise, with full content expansions that feel more like sequels than anything. And it continues on with a new musical update.

The holiday update will include something the developers are calling the ByteBeat Device. It allows for full audio creation. You place the ByteBeat in your base, and it will begin sending out music. The first song will be randomly generated, but you can alter it in multiple ways however you see fit to create your own tunes. You can check out how it works with the video below.

No Man’s Sky is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The holiday update that includes the music creator is live across all platforms now.
