No plans for a Wii U version of Resident Evil 6- Capcom

Posted By | On 12th, Apr. 2012

Capcom has announced that as of now, they have no plans to bring the upcoming Resident Evil 6 to Nintendo’s soon to be released next-gen home console, Wii U. After Capcom announced earlier this week that Resident Evil 6 will be releasing about two months early, they also announced that they have no plans to port RE6 to the next gen.

“Unfortunately, RE6 will not be available at this time on the Wii U,” Hiroyuki Kobayash, the game’s producer, told IGN. “Right now we’re concentrating on the PlayStation 3 version, 360 version and the PC version of the game.”

As IGN notes, Kobayash didn’t give a definite answer- he said they RE6 will not be available on Wii U “at this time”, but he never said it won’t be available at all. One can always hope.

Resident Evil 6 releases on October 2 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 an a later date for the PC. Stay tuned for more updates.
