Ouya game console reaches $2 million in funding

Ouya, a new Android powered game console costing $99, has reached $2 million in funding. The original goal was just $950,000 and was intended for production and distribution, however, we have no idea of their plans now considering they have way more money now with plenty of days to go.

“We’ve packed this little box full of power. Developers will have access to OUYA’s open design so they can produce their games for the living room, taking advantage of everything the TV has to offer,” the Kickstarter page reads.

“Best of all, OUYA’s world-class controller, console, and interface come in one beautiful, inexpensive package. All the games on it will be free, at least to try.”

There’s still a lot of days left before the Kickstarter ends, so you can be a part of the project too. Check out their page over here which includes the complete description of the console and their pitch.
