Overwatch 2

Blizzard has announced over Twitter that PC players can now pre-load Overwatch 2 in preparation of its October 4 launch. The game can be pre-loaded through Blizzard’s Battle.net client.

It is worth noting that in order to pre-load the game, PC players will have to pre-order Overwatch 2: Watchpoint Pack, which is priced at $39.99. The Watchpoint Pack also includes the Season 1 Premium Battle Pass, 7 Legendary skins, 5 Epic skins, and 2,000 Overwatch Coins.

Overwatch 2 recently got a launch trailer that showed off the new heroes coming to the game, the new maps, and the fact that it will be free-to-play.

The game also came under criticism from fans in light of the fact that new heroes that are added to the game will have to be unlocked through grinding out that season’s battle pass. This is in stark contrast to how the original Overwatch released its heroes, instantly unlocking them for everyone who played the game.

Once it is released, Overwatch 2 will be free-to-play on all platforms—PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
