Overwatch 2’s Newest Bundle Criticised by Players for Skins That Can’t be Bought Separately

The season 7 bundle for Overwatch 2 seems to be the only way to get the new Diablo 4-themed skins added to the game.

The newest cosmetics in Overwatch 2 have been the subject for quite a few player criticisms. The cosmetics, part of a bundle priced at $39.99, bring with it a new Moira skin themed after Diablo 4‘s Lilith, and a new Inarius-themed Pharah skinned.

Along with the skins, the bundle also includes 20 tier skips for the battle pass, access to the Season 7 premium battle pass, 2,000 Overwatch Coins, the Be Beautiful highlight intro, and sprays for Inarius and Lilith.

Players have taken to the game’s subreddit to criticise the addition of these skins, which can only be acquired through the bundle. Players are also complaining that the new skins can’t be purchased separately by using previously-save up premium currency, or earned through playing the game.

“Saw the new Moira and Pharah skin in the trailer and was excited for the first time in a long time,” said Reddit user YayoProtocal in a post. “Some of the best looking and only skins for them in a long time and it’s of course locked behind a shitty payware bundle. Not even available for premium BP, but the goddamn ultimate that they want money for. I should’ve seen this coming… Way to be greedy and ruin the excitement Blizzard.”

Players have also used the chance to criticise Blizzard for raising the price of the bundle without including new Invasion content. Where the Season 6 bundle had the same $39.99 price tag, it also included the Invasion bundle. Blizzard seems to have kept the new price tag without additional content.

Overwatch 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
