Palworld has sold at an incredible pace since its early access launch last week, and the game is showing no signs of slowing down. At last count, within five days of release, the open world survival game had sold over 7 million units, and developer Pocketpair has now provided another sales update.
Taking to Twitter, the developer announced that Palworld has now sold over 8 million units worldwide, within les than six days of release. As before, this number only includes the game’s Steam version, so its total sales are likely to be higher when taking sales on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Windows Store into account as well- all of that in spite of the fact that it’s also available on Game Pass.
Earlier this week, the game also became the second-highest concurrently played game in the history of Steam, overtaking the likes of Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Elden Ring, and many others. Currently, it’s all-time concurrent user peak on Steam sits at above 2 million users, behind PUBG: Battleground’s peak of over 3.2 million users. Meanwhile, Palworld also surpassed Fortnite’s daily active user count on Xbox Series X/S in the US on January 22.
