Palworld has numerous resources to collect for the purpose of building and crafting. One of these is Ore, and this Palworld guide will show you the easiest way to farm Ore quickly and efficiently.

Ore Deposits

The first thing to know about Ore deposits is that they will not run out. So you can set up an Ore farm with Pal workers and forget about it, as the resources come rolling in.

If you want to mine Ore with your own character, you will need a pickaxe, with the different pickaxe types simply making the mining process faster. While you can set up a base right next to the Ore deposits, this is not necessary if you have already built a base, or have another priority.

The four earliest major Ore deposits are all located north-west and west of your starting location.

Mining Pals

Even better than using the pickaxe, is using Pals as labor. A Pal species’ Work Suitability rating specifically in Mining will determine whether they even participate in mining duties, as well as how effective and efficient they are at their task.

Work Suitability can be viewed on the right side under the Stats tab on a given Pal’s Paldeck menu page. A Mining rating of at least 1 is necessary in order to perform mining chores, though higher is obviously better.

The following table lists every single Pal currently known to have a capability for mining in the game, along with their Paldeck number, variant letter, and name. Sorted in descending order, they are:

Paldeck #VariantNameMining Work Suitability
96Blazamut4
98Astegon4
99Menasting3
100Anubis3
67Digtoise3
88Reptyro3
88BIce Reptyro3
108Paladius2
109Necromus2
11Penking2
90Mammorest2
90BMammorest Cryst2
68Tombat2
43Dumud2
95Quivern2
69Lovander1
40Incineram1
40BIncineram Noct1
20Rushoar1
66Maraith1
2Cattiva1
17Depresso1
22Fuddler1

Even though a given Pal may have a Mining work suitability rating, you may want to delegate those Pals which specialize in Mining specifically. This is because multi-talented Pals are better off doing whatever chore they are best suited for, especially in a multi-functional base with a lot of varied tasks to accomplish. Of course, when in a pinch, feel free to relegate any and every Mining capable Pal, but be aware that since you can barely exert any control over them, they can and will wander off and do other available base duties.

That is everything you need to know about mining and farming Ore in Palworld.
