While Palworld aspires to new heights, selling over six million copies in four days of launch, Xbox and PC players on the Microsoft Store are getting a lower-quality experience. It’s ultimately due to the versions differing from Steam and being at the “mercy” of the certification process. Nevertheless, an update is live and fixes several issues on those platforms.

Sound issues and “numerous” other bugs are fixed, per Pocketpair’s tweet. However, other known bugs remain, like the PC version not recognizing a control pad, not displaying the key guide correctly, and not having a button to quit. The Xbox and Microsoft Store PC versions also launch to a static black screen, while some players report more crashes.

Additional updates are likely coming, so stay tuned for more details. Palworld is in early access – check out our review – where it will remain for at least a year. Along with bug fixes, developer Pocketpair is working on adding PvP, a raid boss and more.
