Developer Grinding Gear Games has shown off some new gameplay for its upcoming action RPG Path of Exile 2. The trailer is the first one shown off by the studio for quite some time, having been working on the sequel to Path of Exile for the last few years. Check it out below.
Grinding Gear Games has stated that it will be revealing more details about Path of Exile 2 on July 28.
The gameplay clip is a short one, giving us a look at a brief combat encounter and the appearance of a boss. No new details on the character or the game’s enemies have been revealed in the latest video.
We last heard about Path of Exile 2 a couple of years ago, when the studio showed off 20 minutes of gameplay footage from the title’s second act. The expected launch date at the time was May 2022, but it was never confirmed by the studio.
With the recent launch of Diablo 4, it is also worth noting that Grinding Gear Games co-founder Chris Wilson has stated that competition is good for the genre.
