After weeks of rumours and leaks, at yesterday’s Xbox Games Showcase, Atlus officially unveiled Persona 3 Reload, a ground-up remake of the beloved PS2 RPG. Due out next year, details on the remake will continue to be revealed over the coming months, but some key information has already started trickling out.
For instance, it has been confirmed that Persona 3 Reload will feature an entirely new voice cast, with none of the actors from the original game set to reprise their roles. Multiple new actors who will be portraying he cast of characters in the upcoming remake have taken to Twitter to confirm their involvement in the project.
The protagonist is being played by Aleks Le, Aigis by Dawn Bennet, Mitsuru Kirijo by Allegra Clark, Junpei Iori by Zeno Robinson, Yukari Takeba by Heather Gonzalez, Akihiko Sanada by Alejandro Saab, Ken Amada by Justice Lee, Shinjiro Aragaki by Justice Slocum, and Fuuka Yamagishi by Suzie Yeung.
Atlus has confirmed that Persona 3 Reload is going to be based on the original version of the classic RPG, and won’t feature content from Persona 3 FES or Persona 3 Portable.
Along with the remake, at the Xbox Games Showcase, Atlus also announced Persona 5 Tactica, a turn-based tactics spinoff, and Metaphor: ReFantazio, a new fantasy RPG made by the creative leads of Persona 3, 4, and 5.
Persona 3 Reload is set to launch in early 2024 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Like the other two aforementioned upcoming games, it will be available on Game Pass at launch.
