Persona 5 Royal looks to upsize the already content-stuffed Persona 5 when it releases later this year in Japan. The game has a pretty insane amount of new material, even more than the typical Atlus re-release. We’ve seen bits and pieces dripping out of the new offerings from the game, and today we get a highlight on a new attack as well as an overhauled Social Link.
First, we see the Show Time combination attack for Haru and Morgana. The attack sees Morgana transform into his van form while Haru fires off rockets at the enemy. We’ve seen parts from this attack before, but this is the first we’ve seen in full with audio.
Next, we get a short conversation between Joker and Akechi. Akechi’s social link in Royal has been significantly overhauled, and friendly conversations like this will show a new side to the character we didn’t see in the original. The character was popular in Japan, so most likely there will be more focus on his arc in Royal.
Persona 5 Royal will release Spring 2020 in the west exclusively for PlayStation 4. If you’re not familiar with the game or series, Atlus has a stream coming on the 27th dedicated just for newcomers.
