Persona 5 Royal’s Opening Video Revealed

Get a look at the updated opening for the RPG.

Persona 5

Persona 5 Royal is almost here (well, at least in Japan anyway), and it’s promising a lot of new, updated material to the popular Japanese RPG. The game will roughly see 30% of new content, according to the developer, making it one of the most extensive re-releases Atlus has done. And as you’d expect, the game is getting a reworked opening, which the company released today.

The opening has a lot of same visual styling of the original set to the game’s new theme song. It’s a little more traditional anime, I would say, vs the more snappy and quick editing of the original opening. It sets the tone pretty well for what kind of game you can expect, so what more can you ask for, though. Check it out below.

Persona 5 Royal releases in Spring 2020 exclusively for PlayStation 4. Keep your eyes peeled for next month, as that’s when the game will release in Japan, as well as when we’ll get something new about the spinoff title, Persona 5 Scramble.
