You may have read some recent reports claiming that an unnamed employee at S-Game – the studio developing Phantom Blade Zero – had said that the action RPG wasn’t coming to Xbox because “nobody needs” the platform. The studio itself has now come forward and issued a statement to refute those reports.

S-Game’s statement has seemingly denied the validity of aforementioned reports, stating that statements against Xbox “do not represent S-Game’s values or culture”. The studio says it is looking to make Phantom Blade Zero “accessible to everyone” and that it has “not ruled out any platforms”.

“We are hard at work on both the development and publishing fronts to ensure that as many players as possible can enjoy our game at release and in the future,” the developer writes.

S-Game recently showcased new gameplay footage for Phantom Blade Zero at ChinaJoy last month, and is set to show off the game again at Gamescom later this month.

Phantom Blade Zero is currently in development for PS5 and PC.
