One of the first ever break out indie game hits was Super Meat Boy. Launching on Xbox 360 and PC last generation, the challenging 2D platformer instantly captivated players worldwide, and won rave acclaim and praise.

Now, Phil Spencer seems to want a version of the game for the Xbox One. Responding on Twitter to a fan who asked him about Super Meat Boy possibly showing up on Xbox One, Spencer expressed interest in an Xbox One version; what makes this more curious is the fact that he also tagged Xbox indie boss Chris Charla in his tweet.

Of course, taking random tweets and extrapolating them to mean anything is pointless, but it is still something worth keeping in mind- who is to say that a Super Meat Boy Remastered for the Xbox One won’t happen?

Even if it’s not for Xbox One, I hope they bring it to some console this generation. With all the exposure indie game releases get, it would benefit from a bigger player base.
