Nightdive Studios—a studio that is making a name for itself thanks to its handling of classic action games through excellent remasters and remakes—has announced a new remaster of 1995 first-person shooter PO’ed. Appropriately dubbed PO’ed: Definitive Edition, the remaster will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.

PO’ed: Definitive Edition currently doesn’t have a release date. There is, however, a trailer you can check out below, showcasing the classic shooter’s old-school aesthetics, visuals, and gameplay. As the trailer comically points out, the original title wasn’t exactly critically-acclaimed, but it does manage to have enough charm and unique ideas to warrant exploration again through a new remaster.

The game puts players in the shoes of the cook of a spaceship that has been hijacked by aliens. Since your crewmates have also been kidnapped, it’s up to you to grab your jetpack and rocket launcher and get revenge. The remaster features a few quality-of-life features, bug fixes, and the ability to play the game at 4K and 144 frames per second.
