Pokemon UltraSun/UltraMoon Trailer Finally Brings The Hype

The true terror of the Ultra Beasts.

Hype and marketing for Pokemon UltraSun/UltraMoo, the remixed expansion to last year’s 3DS exclusive hits, has been curiously muted so far, almost as though Nintendo and The Pokemon Company couldn’t quite figure out the best way to market the title, especially in the face of the looming release of the Switch exclusive Pokemon game next year.

But it seems as though they might have found the answer, because they have started showing off more of it of late, and goodness, does it look great. Take this newest trailer for the game, for example- it shows us new Pokemon, new story additions, and new areas to explore, while also hinting at darker narrative overtones for the series.

Expanded or ‘third’ versions have traditionally been the strongest entries in the franchise- and UltraSun/UltraMoon looks like it might continue that tradition when it launches exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS on November 17 this year.
