Game Freak has released a gameplay trailer for the upcoming Pokemon X&Y, which showcases the new star-shaped Kalos region, along with the central city called Lumiose.

Of course, with more than 640 Pokemon in the game, it’s a given that the focus will be more on the new additions. Four new Pokemon have been showcased by Game Freak, which includles Helioptile, a Normal and Electric type Pokemon which can use the new Parabolic Charge to attack enemies and restore health by half the damage of each attack.

Then there’s Fletchling, a Normal/Flying type which can also use Flame Charge, a Fire attack that also increases its speed each time; Pencham, a Fighting type that uses Parting Shot, for lowering an enemy’s attack and special attack while letting it switch out with another Pokemon during team battles; and Gogoat, a Grass-type Pokemon for traveling through Lumiose. It can also be used in battle with Horn Leech, an attack that recovers health equivalent to half the amount of damage done.

Pokemon X&Y are set to be released in October worldwide for the Nintendo 3DS.
