Prey

Arkane Studios made a significant impact with Prey at E3 2016. Not by confirming their involvement – we’ve known that since forever – but by showcased what’s essentially a re-imagining and new beginning for the franchise. That single announcement trailer is all we really have to go by at this point but in a new video, Arkane Studios president and Prey creative director Raphael Colantonio hinted at some of the secrets it held.

No, he doesn’t outright spoil everything about the alien adversaries in-game but Colantonio does note that the creatures “evolved” after breaking loose. This is exemplified in one of them turning into a chair. One another interesting scene showcases the player’s hands covered in the inky mass of the aliens, which is actually him gaining an alien power.

The full video is worth a watch, especially as Colantonio talks about the different pathways players can take through the space station. Prey is out in 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC so it’ll be a while yet before we see it. See tuned for more information.
