Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 Tutorial Number One: Ball Control

Take a look at the new PES 14 ball mechanics

Posted By | On 14th, Aug. 2013

Earlier today this video was released, detailing some of the more nuanced elements of the upcoming installment in the Pro Evolution Soccer series, the main competitor of the FIFA franchise.

In this video we see that, through a series of specific analogue stick movements, players can make their individual team players performs a whole host of advanced soccer moves to either confuse, break past, or defend against the opposing team. From the looks of things, we can expect the most fluid game play we’ve seen thus far in a Pro Evolution Soccer game.

According to reports released by Konami, almost every aspect of Pro Evolution Soccer 14 will be focused on the ball. How the ball moves, and how the players interact with the ball are all dependant on the physics engine programmed into the ball. In addition to ball physics, special attention was payed to player motion physics, which will be incorporated in player interactions such as slide tackling, breaking, corner kick dynamics, and more.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 releases for Windows, PlayStation 3, PSP, Xbox 360, and Nintendo 3DS this September.
