Project CARS DLC Plans Announced

I think, on the whole, you will be very, very happy.

Slightly Mad Studios’ Project CARS just released last month after a slate of delays, and it was largely a success. It appears that the developers plan on keeping the game alive with continual updates and new content, but also that, much as they promised for the game pre-release, this additional content will not be made available in the form of abusive or exploitative DLC.

Today, the studio announced Project CARS On Demand. Project CARS On Demand will provide “continual free updates that improve and expand upon the original core game, free cars and vehicle liveries delivered at no extra charge, and additional content made available without the usual obligation to purchase a long-term season pass.” Essentially, you can pick and choose which of the updates and DLC you want for your game, for free, instead of having to purchase an ala carte Season Pass.

On a more traditional note, they also announced the stunning Racing Icons car pack. You can see the trailer for it above.

Project CARS is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC, with SteamOS and Wii U versions planned for later this year.
