Project Motor Racing

Project Motor Racing might not have enjoyed the launch it had hoped for when it released last year, but that hasn’t stopped Straight4 Studios from working hard to address complaints for its visually stunning racing sim.

The fruits of all that hard work are now there for us to check out, with Update 2.0 bringing a host of changes to the game, ranging from its UI right down to refinements to how its awesome fleet of cars feels on the track. It’s quite an insightful list of fixes, with a redesigned UI that has addressed a distinct lack of guidance that we called out in our review, improvements to cars like GT3, GT4, Porsche 992 Cup, GT, and N-GT, and a host of other changes that are aimed at making the experience a lot more palatable this time around.

A new trailer for the update, showcased below, is evidence of a lot of effort that’s gone into getting this one out to the game. Whether it manages to let Project Motor Racing surge ahead of its competition remains to be seen, though. Nevertheless, any studio that pays attention to what its players are looking for and addresses those needs gets our approval.
