Yakuza Kiwami 2 has just received a new story trailer, as well as a gameplay trailer. While the game is a remake of the original Yakuza 2, there will be a number of new gameplay features from later titles as well as some new story elements that will seek to fill in the gaps in the story that were present in the original game.
The game will also be releasing with a new story scenario titled “The Truth of Goro Majima” which will allow players to play as the series’ anti- hero Goro Majima himself. The story trailer shows memorable scenes from the original title but with new and much-improved visuals and presentation. The gameplay trailer showcases the gameplay that is more attuned to later games in the series. All in all, it seems that Yakuza 2’s remake might turn out to be fantastic for the new generation.
The game will be releasing on December 7th for the Playsation 4 in Japan. As of now, we have no information regarding possibilities of localization in the West.
