PS4 Led Ubisoft Software Sales For Previous Quarter

Ubisoft moving from strength to strength.

Posted By | On 18th, Jul. 2017

Ubisoft has released its latest financial statements, and in it, it revealed that the PS4 still led its software sales for the period covered by the previous quarter. That means Ubisoft more games on the PS4 than on any other platform, with 44% of its sales coming from the system.

The Xbox One and PC follow with 22% and 21% sales respectively, with last gen systems and Wii U accounting for 2% sales. The Nintendo Switch does not have its own category yet, which makes sense given Ubisoft’s mostly non existent presence on the system for now- that should change with next month’s hotly anticipated release of Mario+Rabbids.

Ubisoft has a highly packed release slate going forward- apart from Mario+Rabbids, there is also Assassin’s Creed Origins, as well as Far Cry 5, and digital content for all of its existing games as services. It will be exciting to see how the publisher progresses from here on going forward.
