Mixed reviews aside, looks like Quantum Break has been a stellar success for Microsoft- today, the company announced that it has been the most successful new IP launch for them this generation so far, meaning it has performed better than Ryse or Sunset Overdrive did in a similar period.

This report comes to us courtesy of Chart-Track, who track retail game sales in the UK- which means that, incredibly, any digital game sales for Quantum Break are not counted in this estimation. Digital sales probably make up a not insignificant amount of the game’s overall sales on Xbox One, and the majority of the sales on PC- so the game has, in fact, done even better than what this report suggests. Looks like this new title will turn out to be Remedy’s most successful game in a very long time.

Quantum Break is available now on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.
