Rainbow Six Siege is one of the more interesting titles to come out of the last generation of consoles. Despite launching in a less than stellar state, the game found its audience and has been running at a steady pace ever since. It’s now been released on the newer consoles, and even has its own quasi-spinoff coming out soon. It also seems like the team behind it wants to also get console players playing together.

Talking to PC Gamer, Director Jean-Baptiste Halle confirmed that they were working on both cross-play and cross-progression between the major console platforms, saying, “We’re actively working on cross-progression and cross-play. Within the realm of consoles, I think it would be great if PlayStation and Xbox could play together.” It seems he’s not sure about putting them together with PC players, however, due to perceived advantages that come from playing a shooter with keyboard and mouse versus controller.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.
