Ratchet: Gladiator HD announced, multiplayer added

Welcome to the Dreadzone.

Insomniac Games have announced that another Ratchet game called Gladiator will get the HD treatment and will be released later this year exclusively on the PS3.

It is the fourth game in the entire Ratchet and Clank series and as the name suggests, Ratchet must battle waves upon waves of enemies, but he is armed with some clever and insanely powerful weapons, including the mighty Ryno.

The game was originally released on the PS2 in 2005 and the basic premise is that Ratchet and Clank have to fight their way through a bunch of enemies in a game show called Dreadzone. It’s sort of a Roman Colosseum, so you get the point.

It’s one of the best games to have been released for the PS2 and considering the last Ratchet and Clank HD ports were quite good on the PS3, we have our hopes up for this one too. The American version is called Deadlocked and the HD collection will feature multiplayer too.
