The dataminers were right on the money, because Rockstar themselves have now confirmed that the legendary double action revolver, “a lost frontier from the Frontier”, is in GTA Online. Rockstar has confirmed that players will be getting an email for the first clue on hunting this weapon down in iFruit, and from there, they will have to follow the trail to the weapon.
But that’s not all, either- there will be a true crossover between GTA and Red Dead Redemption, because once you acquire your gratis Double-Action Revolver, complete the Headshot Challenge in Freemode for a GTA$250,000 reward, followed by you unlocking the weapon to be able to use it in Red Dead Redemption 2. Woot!
Red Dead Redemption 2 is due out on the PS4 and Xbox One some time next year (at least, until the next delay). GTA Online is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with unsupported last gen versions available on PS3 and Xbox 360 as well.
