Today’s a big day for gaming. As promised, we got a brand new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, the sequel to the 2010 open world hit western action adventure game that Rockstar announced and confirmed a few days ago. The trailer was short, and typically devoid of any information – as is Rockstar’s wont – but what was shown was graphically stunning, and intriguing enough that all Red Dead fans are probably already counting down the days to when they can play the game.

The real takeaway here is really the graphics. The game looked so good that at times, it wasn’t clear that we were seeing rendered footage. Photorealism seems to be the name of the game here, and I have to wonder if the trailer was shown with PS4 Pro/Xbox Scorpio target specs.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is due out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Fall 2017. For now, it is still confirmed only for those two systems, with no Switch or PC version announced.
