In this guide, we are going to take a look at how you can get access to various key items in the game for both Claire and Leon’s campaigns. This includes puzzle parts, weapon upgrade parts and a ton of other things. So, let’s get started.
Combat Knife: This is something you will get automatically during a cutscene. Use this to open the electric panel in the Main Hall.
Lion Medallion: This is on the 1F of Main Hall. The solution is Lion, Twig, Eagle and Crown, Flame, Flying Bird for Scenario B.
Spare Key 1: Found in a Portable Safe. You will find the Portable Safe in Men’s Locker Room.
Spade Key: This is located on 3F, Above Dark Room (Top of the Northwestern Stairs)
All Hip Pouch Locations: You can find all Hip Pouches using this guide here.
Red Book: Located on a table near Library exit on 1F.
Police Station Map: Lounge (connected to the Library)
Red Jewel – Scepter: Found in the Art Room.
Weapons Locker Key Card: Found in the Art Room.
Bolt Cutter: You will have access to this after the Helicopter Crash cutscene. You will find it lying near the Exit of the Fire Escape.
Main Hall Fuse Shutter Location: This is found in East office.
Valve Handle: This is located in the small office in the East Office.
Detonator (Part of the C4 puzzle) – Operations Room
Batter for Detonator (Part of the C4 puzzle) – This is found in the S.T.A.R.S. Office.
Police Station Map B1: For Leon, you will find this in Jail. For Claire, you will find this in Firing Range.
Square Crank: This is found on a table in the Jail.
Car Key – This is found in the Tin Storage Box. The box itself is found in the Firing Range.
Matilda Handgun’s Extended Magazine – This is found on 1F, West Office. You need to unlock two safes. The codes are NED for the left one and MRG for the right one. This is available only for Leon.
Matilda Handgun’s Gun Stock – This is available only for Leon. Examine the Car Key and unlock the car found in the Parking area. You will the Matilda Handgun’s Gun Stock inside.
Diamond Key – This is found in the Morgue area. It’s on one of the bodies (second from far left).
Heart Key – This applies only for Claire. Find the Relief Portrait in the Portrait Collection room and examine it. This will give you the Heart Key.
Power Panel Part 1 – Boxed Electronic Part – For Leon, this is found in the Generator Room and for Claire, this is found inside a room in the East Storage Room. The room can be unlocked using the Heart Key.
Fuse For Break Room Hallway – For Leon, this is found in the Break Room.
Spare Key 2: This is found in the Linen room.
Club Key: This available only for Leon and you will find it in the Boiler Room.
Matilda Handgun’s Muzzle Break – This is available only for Leon. This is found inside a safe in the Waiting room. The combination is L6, R2, L11.
USB Dongle – S.T.A.R.S. Badge – This is found inside the Bejeweled box in the Interrogation room. Combine it with the Red Jewel. Examine the S.T.A.R.S. Badge and it will become the USB Dongle.
Large Gear – This is found in the East Storage Room.
Small Gear – Upper Floor of Clock Tower (this is only accessible once you have access to the Large Gear).
Power Panel Part 2 – Boxed Electronic Part – This is located in Clock Tower. You can see a box on the top. Use the two Gears accordingly to get the item.
Mechanic Jack Handle – This is found in the Records Room.
Rook Plug: In the room which is located above Upper Waterway.
Knight, Pawn and the third Plug: They are all found in the Monitor Room.
T-Bar Valve Handle – Treatment Pool Room, near the Cable Car.
W-870 Shotgun’s Long Barrel – This is found in Kendo’s Gunshop. This is available only for Leon.
W-870 Shotgun’s Stock – The safe in the Treatment Pool Room. The code is L2, R12 and L8. This is available only for Leon.
Sewers Key: Bottom Waterway.
Queen and King Plugs: Supplies Storage Room.
HIDING PLACE Roll Film – Workroom area through the elevator in the Lower Waterway. Go to the Dark Room to build the film and you will get two images. The first one gives you weapon upgrade items for Leon and Claire and the 2nd one gives you ammunition.
- Lightning Hawk’s Red Dot Sight – You will find a wooden box in the S.T.A.R.S. Office. Examine to get the item. Note that this item will not be accessible unless you find the HIDING PLACE Roll Film. (Available for Leon only)
- Extended Magazine for MQ-11 SMG – You need to have access to the film roll found in the Upper Sewers Room. Develop this film in the Dark Room and it will showcase a spot in the S.T.A.R.S. office. This is where you will find the part. Note that this item will not be accessible unless you find the HIDING PLACE Roll Film. (This is available only for Claire).
- Needle Cartridges x7 – This is available only for Claire. You will find this in the Press Room.
- Fuel For Flamethrower – This is available only for Leon. You will find this in the Press Room.
Lightning Hawk’s Long Barrell – In the Underground Facility Stairwell, use the S.T.A.R.S. Badge in the cabinet. (Available for Leon only)
Upgrade Chip For General Staff – This is found in the Nap room.
Chemical Flamethrower – This is found in the Nap Room. (Available for Leon only)
Regulator for Chemical Flamethrower – Restore the power to the Nap room. This item is found in the same location. (Available for Leon only)
Dispersal Cartridge – This is found in Green House Control Room.
Research Lab East Area Map – Greenhouse Sub-Basement B2.
Trophy – Lounge area in the basement of Greenhouse. Examine it to find the access code for Drug Testing Room.
Signal Modulator – This is found in Lounge Storage Room.
Upgrade Chip for Senior Staff – This is found in Greenhouse. You need to solve the Dispersal Cartridge Puzzle. The solution can be found here.
High Capacity Magazine for JMB HP3 Pistol – This found in the safe on 2F, Waiting room. The code is L6, R2, L11. (This is available only for Claire).
Stock for GM79 Grenade Launcher – This is found in the Elevator Control Room. (This is available only for Claire).
High-Voltage Condenser For Spark Shot – Restore the power to the Nap Room and you will be able to get this item. (This is available only for Claire).
Speed Loader for SLS 60 Revolver – This is found in the two safes in 1F, West Office. The codes are NED and MRG for left and right locks respectively. (This is available only for Claire).
Reinforced Frame for SLS 60 Revolver – This is found in the safe in the Sewer Treatment Pool. The code is L2, R12, L8. (This is available only for Claire).
Silencer for MQ-11 SMG – Insert the STARS badge into the Special Weapons Case found in Underground Facility. (This is available only for Claire).
