Respawn Entertainment is Working on a Single Player FPS, Due Out in 2024/2025 – Rumour

The game – allegedly not Titanfall 3 – is going to focus on "style" and "mobility", and will apparently spend the next year or so in the prototype stage.

Respawn Entertainment has plenty of irons in the fire right now. Apex Legends continues to be a major point of focus for the developer, while it is looking quite likely that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is going to be unveiled this year as well. But it seems the developer is working on some other stuff as well.

Recently, Respawn’s Mohammad Alavi announced his departure from the studio, and according to a GamesBeat report, he was working on a new project as its director that is going to go ahead even in his absence. According to the report, this game is going to be a AAA single player first person shooter- but it won’t be Titanfall 3 (sorry, Titanfall fans). That said, it looks like the game is going to have a few things in common with Titanfall, with the development team emphasizing “style” and “mobility.”

According to the GamesBeat report, the game is going to spend the next year or so in the prototype phase, before then moving into full production. Currently, EA is allegedly eyeing 2024 or 2025 as a possible launch window for the game.

Of course, until we hear something official from EA or Respawn, it’s best to take this with a grain of salt. Given where it is in its production though, it seems like it might be a while before we hear anything about it.
