Retro Studios Writer/Cinematic Designer Leaving After Working There for 2 Years

Is the studio's game close to a reveal?

Posted By | On 01st, May. 2018

Retro Studios is one of the most beloved studios in Nintendo’s entire arsenal (which really is saying something). It has been four years since their last release, and in that time, they have been working on… something. We actually don’t know what that is, especially since the already announced Metroid Prime 4 is confirmed to be under development at some other studio.

Whatever that game is, we may be getting close to a reveal, however. Jon Verrall, after having worked at Retro Studios for more than two years as their writer and cinematic designer, has announced his departure from the studio (on amicable terms, apparently), which seems to indicate that the studio’s game may be nearing completion- and therefore, release.

If so, maybe we get to see what this game is com E3 (please)- really, at this point, I don’t think I even care what it is, I just want it revealed already so the mystery might end.
