Ridge Racer: Driftopia — Be The First To Drift Trailer

Get in at the ground floor for the latest installment in this drifting franchise

Posted By | On 27th, Aug. 2013

Earlier today, Namco Bandai Games released a trailer for their upcoming installment in the Ridge Racer series, Ridge Racer: Driftopia. The trailer acts as an invitation for players to catch a glimpse of the improved drift action by parking in the game’s beta testing phase and providing feedback.

Ridge Racer differs from other racers, namely the Formula One series, in that it is very heavily focused on the drifting aspect of racing. In fact, updates to the drifting system of the Ridge Racer series are arguably the franchise’s largest draw and focal point.

To date the franchise has over 30 installments, dating as far back as the 1993 release of Ridge Racer on the Namco System 22 arcade, and since ranging across a myriad of platforms from Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo Consoles to PC to Mobile.

Ridge Racer Driftopia will release for PC and PS3 in late 2013.
