Hopefully that new information also includes an actual release date.

Remember Rime? It was this gorgeous open world action adventure game from the makers of Deadlight, that was announced three years ago, and generated a lot of excitement owing to its artstyle, and its gameplay that seemed to channel The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

We’ve been in the dark on Rime since 2014, which is the last time we got to see the game- since then, we’ve seen nor heard tail nor hide of the game, although we did learn earlier this year that developers Tequila Games were working on reacquiring the rights to the IP from Sony.

Today, thanks to an email to Gamespot that Tequila Works’ PR Manager, Jose Herraez, sent, we learned that the game’s development is apparently ‘coming along at a great pace,’ and that we’re going to learn more about the game around Gamescom, which is in August.

Hopefully, one of the things we learn is a concrete release date- Rime looks great, sure, but at this point, any semblance of excitement I may once have had for the game has long since burnt out.
