Rise of the Tomb Raider (12)

Rise of the Tomb Raider is one of the many exclusives that Xbox will be receiving later this year. The game will be launching on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. There are concerns that the Xbox 360 version will hold back the current gen version, however there is nothing to worry about as Game Director for ‘Rise of the Tomb Raider’ Brian Horton has assured that this won’t be the case

“Not at all. Nixxes have been long time partners with Crystal Dynamics and are completely focused on the Xbox 360 port of the game,” Horton said to GamingBolt. “We focused a 100% of our energy at Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal on making the highest quality game possible on the Xbox One. We are not holding ourselves back at all.”

When asked about timed exclusivity on Xbox platforms, Horton stated that they are currently focusing only on the Xbox versions but did not commented on how long this timed exclusivity will last.

“I think Phil Spencer made this very clear. This time we are just talking about The Rise of the Tomb Raider coming out on Xbox One and Xbox 360 this holiday.”

Rise of the Tomb Raider is out this November for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Stay tuned for our full interview with Brian Horton in the coming days.
