While there has been a lot of talk recently about the chance of yet another Batman: Arkham game, it appears Rocksteady is leaving the series in the rear view. The company is instead going to be working on its next project, though it won’t say what that project is.
The new information comes via a Reddit AMA that was held earlier this week by Rocksteady’s co-founder and creative director, Sefton Hill and social marketing manager Gaz Deaves. During the AMA the development team confirmed that Batman Arkham Knight won’t be receving a PS4 Pro patch. “Good to hear from you. We’re happy to make you feel the feels! Unfortunately we are not planning a patch for PS4 at this time”, Hill said. “I know that’s not what you want to hear but better to be honest. We did release a patch for Arkham VR to support the Pro, which is a nice piece of tech. I’m looking forwards to playing it with my new 4k TV!,” he further added.
The pair also talked about how one of the reasons there won’t be any PS4 Pro support is because they are busy working on their next project. “We’re very hard at work on our next project but we won’t be releasing the details for a while”, Hill stated. “When we do you guys will be first to hear as we want to get the community involved heavily in what we do next.”
Despite the event being an “ask me anything” the team wasn’t willing to share details about what that project might be.
