Most people are familiar with the Three Kingdoms saga of Chinese history due to the Koei Tecmo games. Earlier in the year we got a Total War in the setting that really freshened things up, but there’s always something to be said for the classics as Romance of the Three Kingdoms‘ fourteenth installment was announced, and we in the west will be getting it next year.

The game was announced at Sony’s Chinajoy conference, a natural fit, with a brief teaser that you can check out below. The game will hit Japan later in this year, but those in the west will have to wait a bit as the localization won’t come out until next year.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms 14 will come out for PlayStation 4 and PC sometime in 2019 in Japan, with a 2020 release slated for the west. An official English website is also up, if you want to see some super early English bits of the game.
