Rumour – Wii U to to be a fully fledged e-reader

Posted By | On 03rd, Jan. 2012

So, uh, that tablet controller of the Wii U, remember that? Turns out, it may actually be more useful than just playing games. This is Nintendo’s answer to the smartphones and tablets, I guess.

But it is still a rumour, and one that is quite interesting.

A site named, forgetthebox.net has mentioned that Nintendo’s Wii U may be a fully fledged e-reader, and they’re having plans of offering content like that.

It certainly seems feasibly, after all why would you not make that tablet controller do much more than play games?

Take this with a pinch of salt, though.

“My good friend in Los Angeles who works for a software developer claims Nintendo approached them and offered them assistance in porting and publishing some software from iOS to the Wii U so it can be played on the Wii U’s touchscreen controller,” according to the site.

Tell us what you think in the comments section below.

Thanks, Gameinformer.
