Rune Factory 3 Special

As part of the September Nintendo Direct presentation, Marvelous announced Rune Factory 3 Special exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, an expanded remaster of the Nintendo DS title Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon. Now, the publisher has announced when exactly the game will release- at least in Japan.

Rune Factory 3 will launch in Japan on March 2, 2023. Marvelous has also unveiled a Digital Deluxe Edition, a Dream Collection Limited Edition, as well as a Dream Collection and Wedding Collection Limited Edition. The latter is available exclusively via the Marvelous Shop.

A western release date for the title hasn’t been announced yet, but upon its announcement last month, it was given a 2023 release window. It also remains to be seen whether or not Rune Factory 3 Special will eventually make its way over to PC as well. The last two Rune Factory releases – Rune Factory 4 Special and Rune Factory 5 – did release for the platform not long after their respective Western releases, so the odds are good that the upcoming remaster will follow suit.
