Tecmo Koei have confirmed that the newest Samurai Warriors game, Samurai Warriors 4-II, will be releasing on October 2nd in Europe on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC.

Samurai Warriors 4-II marks a departure from the previous games in the franchise in that it’s a more focused, personal story- unlike the previous Samurai Warriors games that focused on delivering their narrative by exploring the various regions of feudal Japan, this title casts a spotlight on the characters themselves and tells their stories instead, told over the course of thirteen in game chapters. These chapters revolve around nine characters introduced in Samurai Warriors 4, as well as three fan-favourites from previous titles, and a brand new addition to the samurai roster.

On the gameplay front, the game will feature many new and improved features as the battle, action and character development systems have been revamped. It also introduces a highly challenging and richly rewarding mode called the Endless Castle.

Currently, no Xbox One version has been announced or confirmed for the title, though Tecmo Koei have usually made it a point to have one for the western release of their games. Whether or not one is announced in the future remains to be seen.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information on the title.
