It almost a full decade ago now that the popular indie comic book series, Scott Pilgrim, came to an end. In that same year it saw a major film adaptation as well as a video game adaptation alongside that, both named Scott Pilgrim vs The World. The game was delisted in 2014 and has since become something of a legend for fans who have hoped for a return of some kind. Now, it’s possible we’ll be getting one.
The Director of the film, Edgar Wright, took to Twitter to tell fans of the IP to keep an eye on the original author’s Twitter. He’s obviously quite vague and this could be for just about anything, but last month Bryan Lee O’Malley stated that Ubisoft had reached out to him, and couple that with Ubisoft having their next Ubisoft Forward event later today.
Could Scott Pilgrim vs The World finally be getting relisted? Or maybe a new game based on the IP? Either way, we will most likely find out one way or another later today, so stay tuned.
Ahem… Scott Pilgrim fans might want to keep their eyes peeled on @bryanleeomalley’s feed later. I shall say no more!
