Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Gets an (Unofficial) Photo Mode

A small hack gives some users their own photo mode.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been out for more than a week now, but one thing it still lacks a photo mode. The feature is starting to become a standard in big releases, from Kingdom Hearts 3 to to some major upcoming ones like Days Gone. Unfortunately, FromSoftware didn’t include the feature for those who wanted to show off their (many, many) deaths.

But a small hack may unofficially give some users a photo mode.

Twitter user @jim2point0 (a huge in-game photography fan, which you can see from their Twitter feed) created an AOB Cheat Engine table that hacks a photo mode into the game. The script will require a Cheat Engine, meaning it will mostly apply to those playing on PC. But with the mod, you can freeze the game and enemies, even doing the two independently for a specific action shot.

You can see the updated script in Google Drives here– just copy it into the AOB menu and you’re ready for your unofficial photo mode. It’s not quite the same thing as an official release, but it’ll have to do until then.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and you can check out our review here.
