Quest Choices

Branching paths would be a cool addition.

Of course, we don’t want Final Fantasy to turn into Mass Effect or The Witcher with dialogue choices, multiple endings and choice based character progression and stuff. No, that would ruin the franchise’s identity (or what’s left of it). What we want is multiple branching paths in dungeons each lead to different areas, different enemies, different boss battles, but result in the same thing ultimately. It’s be nice to have branching paths, or even quest choices, in the game, as it would greatly increase the game’s repeat value. But of course, Square, don’t include story choices, because then you’d be that much closer to completely ruining the series’ identity.
