Nightdive Studios seems to be on a mission. The company has released several high profile remasters and remakes of titles that had a strong following in year’s past, but didn’t make the transition to later console generations. Games like the Turok titles and the original System Shock, for instance. Now another one is getting that treatment in the form of Shadow Man.

If you’re not familiar, the game had you play as Michael LeRoi, who has taken on the role of the Shadow Man, a lineage of voodoo warriors who protect our world (called the Liveside) from supernatural threats from the Deadside. The action title originally released in 1999 for PlayStation, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and PC to strong acclaim. It seems Nightdive is planning to remaster this gem for current hardware.

That’s about all we know about it, except that we can’t expect to see it until next year. The original, unaltered version of the game is available now on PC via Steam and GOG if you happen to be curious.
