Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 is a Remake, Not a Remaster

An official confirmation.

Shadow of the Colossus

There has been a lot of confusion regarding the status of Shadow of the Colossus on the PS4- is it a remaster? Is it a remake? If it is a remaster, why? We already got a really good remaster last generation on the PS3. A remake would be more welcome, of course- but is it?

Shuhei Yoshida, the head of Sony Worldwide Studios, has finally cleared the confusion up in an interview with Famitsu. Yoshida confirmed that the game is a full fledged remake, with all assets being redone- though he was very careful to promise that it will be very true to the original game, and that the content will all be the same. So Shadow of the Colossus fans do not need to be afraid about this modern classic being mucked with.

Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 is set to release sometime in 2018. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information.
