Shadow Warrior 2 might not be getting the best reviews, but one thing we can say about the newly released title is that it is certainly looking pretty. It appears the main reason for why the game is looking so good is because it is taking advantage of advanced PC settings other games leave alone.

DSO Gaming has done a bit of looking into the subject matter and found Shadow Warrior 2 is the first, or among the first to use both HDR and NVIDIA’s Multi-Res Shading Technique. HDR comes in handy when a game wants to have richer colors, and has been getting added to PS4 and Xbox One games slowly but this appears to be the first to use it on the PC.

Multi-Res Shading Technique is one that can be used to render a title in higher resolutions. Obviously, these settings are only going to be taken advantage of if you have a very high-end computer but it’s a nice addition if you have the equipment. Check out some comparison shots from Shadow Warrior 2, which is available exclusively on the PC now.
