The newest trailer for the upcoming mystery investigation game, Sherlock Holmes Crime & Punishments, shows the greatly loved detective showing off his skills for deducing the truth of the matter through simple observation.

Fans of the recent Robert Downey Jr Sherlock Holmes movie adaptations and the BBC Television series, this time with Sherlock played by Benedict Cumberbatch) will instantly take a liking to the gameplay mechanic which shows the camera focus in on the target and observing the facts that help lead to the solution. Cross examination of these clues with what the character actually says will aid you in your deductions, I actually rather like this mechanic. A lot.

With five suspects per investigation spread across six cases, you’re going to need quite a bit of solid reasoning if you’re hoping to copy sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s great iconic detective.

The Victorian era sleuth that transcends generational trends is taking the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC later this year when Sherlock Holmes Crime & Punishments launches on September 30th.
