Back when it first launched in 2007, Frogwares’ Cthulhu-inspired horror adventure title Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened didn’t exactly set the world on fire, but the developer is looking to expand and improve upon it with its upcoming remake. Ahead of its launch next month, Frogwares has released another new trailer to offer players a glimpse at what it’ll have in store.
The focus here is very much on the famous detective duo of Sherlock Holmes himself and his trusty companion John Watson. The trailer also shines a spotlight on the game’s gothic horror elements, while also showing bits and pieces of various foreboding environments and some of its investigations-focused gameplay mechanics. It’s certainly looking like a considerable visual upgrade, though the voice acting seems a bit rough around the edges, from what the trailer suggests. Check it out below.
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened recently went gold, and will launch on April 11 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
